Valeria Rodriguez

Valeria Rodriguez, a Graduate Intern for the Texas Coastal Watershed Program (TCWP), finds passion in protecting our watersheds as well as conserving our marine resources. Valeria currently attends Texas A&M University at Galveston in pursuit of a masters degree in the Marine Resources Management Program. Prior to interning with TCWP, she has held positions with the City of Sugar Land as the Water Resources Manager, with Brown & Caldwell as an Environmental Scientist, and with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality as an intern in the Clean Rivers Program. Leaning on her past experiences, Valeria actively assists in the completion of the Highland Bayou Watershed Protection Plan while aiding in public outreach and communication.


Md Yousuf Reja


Md Yousuf Reja is a CHARM GIS Intern for the Texas Coastal Watershed Program. He is also a graduate student of Texas A&M University at College Station. He is working towards earning his Master’s degree in urban planning focusing on environmental hazard management issues.  His interest on GIS analyses motivated him to obtain a graduate certificate in GIS. He hopes to contribute his GIS skills in advancing CHARM mapping tool for coastal communities. Recently, he has received the ‘Coastal Environmental Scholarship’ from the Institute for Sustainable Coastal Communities for his wetland mitigation work. Mr. Reja has worked as a spatial and statistical analyst for the Center for Texas Beaches and Shores at Galveston. His professional experience also includes architectural design and participatory planning. Reja’s organizational skills geared him to play a leadership role in Texas APA Board of Directors as a Student Representative.
