SUMMARY:Exploration Green Groundbreaking Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Take a little time with the family on a Saturday\, April 12th\, and join others to explore Exploration Green as it begins its transformation from a rough old defunct golf course to 200 acre public green space that works for residents as a flood control\, recreation and conservation area. Walk\, ride bikes or drive to the Exploration Green Groundbreaking Celebration to explore the area\, listen to a speaker or two\, let the kids play in the fields\, walk the trails\, talk to EG volunteers\, and take pics for social media. \nThe celebration begins at 10 am with a Groundbreaking Ceremony with short remarks about the project’s Phase 1 beginning this spring and the ceremonial breaking ground with shovels. Clear Lake City Water Authority and primary partner Exploration Green Conservancy invite Clear Lake area residents to help break ground and find out more about the Phase 1 activities to transform it into a public multipurpose area.
